Unrestricted funding

The Foundation 100 appeal is to provide funding to be used where we think it will do most good, in line with the stated aims of Mardi. The technical term for this is unrestricted funding. If, for example, we find a cheaper way of doing something, or someone provides a service pro-bono, we can then use the 'excess' funds for some other charitable purpose without having to go back to the donors to seek their permission. Placing restrictions on small donations can place a considerable administrative burdon on a charity.
